Senior Network Engineer – Messaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Report to the Agile Master of the Messaging Value Stream

• Provide second-line support for SMS, MMS, and SMS Firewall services

• Analyze both internal and external operational processes to enhance repair efficiency

• Identify opportunities for improvement and track the execution of improvement initiatives

• Lead the repair team squad by managing, guiding, and coordinating team activities as necessary

• Monitor the availability and quality of network and services

• Conduct proactive and reactive maintenance actions

• Collaborate with Customer Care to identify and resolve issues reported by customers

• Engage in incident management activities and planned works

• Work in conjunction with vendors, assess their performance, and ensure proper service delivery

• Participate in the implementation of new services and network rollout projects alongside engineering teams

• Take part in guard duty services

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in telecommunications, particularly in Messaging, Signaling, or Roaming

• Familiarity with telecommunications technologies and ITU/ETSI standards

• Strong understanding of SS7/SIGTRAN, LTE, GSM call flows, and roaming scenarios

• Solid operational knowledge of Linux

• Upper-intermediate proficiency in English

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, IT, or ICT is preferable

• Experience with HTTPS APIs, MMS, Kibana, or Openmind software is a plus

• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools, including containers, Ansible, CI/CD, Splunk, Kubernetes, and AWS, is beneficial

• Knowledge of Docker is an advantage

• Experience with IT tools and scripting, such as Splunk or Python, is a plus
