Senior Network Engineer – LAN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues for external clients.

• Collaborate with Network Architects and Engineers to enhance data-center network environments.

• Initiate projects aimed at improving Network Operations.

• Work alongside internal business units to understand organizational requirements and elevate operational standards.

• Review, analyze, and implement network change requests.

• Execute, document, and develop network automation for repetitive tasks.

• Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot IP networking components within a mission-critical SaaS datacenter network.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are secure, resilient, and prepared for the future.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience with medium-to-large enterprise networks.

• Practical expertise with Palo Alto firewalls.

• Hands-on experience with F5 or equivalent load balancers.

• Proficient in routing protocols such as MPLS, OSPF, and BGP.

• Experience with Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k switching.

• Familiarity with Cisco IOS; Nexus OS is preferred.

• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Python, including tools like Netmiko, Nornir, and NAPALM.

• Understanding of platform operating systems, router platforms, LAN, WAN, and routing protocols.

• Experience in datacenter networking, DC fabric, interoffice routing, and site-to-site VPNs.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a data-driven approach to resolving complex network issues.

• Ability to create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and runbooks.

• Experience with large datacenter solutions, interoffice routing plans, site-to-site VPNs, firewalls, IPSec, and monitoring is advantageous.
