Senior Network Engineer – LAN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Resolve network connectivity issues for external clients.

• Collaborate with Network Architects and Engineers to enhance data-center network environments.

• Initiate projects aimed at improving Network Operations.

• Work with internal business units to understand organizational requirements and elevate operational standards.

• Review, analyze, and implement network change requests.

• Execute, document, and develop network automation for repetitive tasks.

• Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot IP networking components within a mission-critical SaaS datacenter network.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure systems are secure, resilient, and prepared for the future.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in managing medium-to-large enterprise networks.

• Practical experience with Palo Alto firewalls.

• Practical experience with F5 or equivalent load balancing solutions.

• Practical experience with MPLS, OSPF, and BGP routing protocols.

• Practical experience with Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k switching.

• Familiarity with Cisco IOS; Nexus OS is preferred.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Python, including tools like Netmiko, Nornir, and NAPALM.

• Knowledge of router platforms, LAN, WAN, router protocols, MPLS, OSPF, and BGP.

• Experience in datacenter networking, DC fabric, interoffice routing, and site-to-site VPNs.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities and a data-driven approach to complex network challenges.

• Capability to create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and runbooks.

• Experience with large datacenter solutions, interoffice routing strategies, site-to-site VPNs, firewalls, IPSec, and monitoring is advantageous.
