Senior Network Engineer – LAN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Resolve issues related to network connectivity for external clients

• Collaborate with Network Architects and Engineers to enhance data-center network settings

• Initiate projects aimed at improving Network Operations

• Work alongside internal business units to comprehend organizational requirements and implement operational standards

• Review, analyze, and carry out network change requests

• Implement, document, and create network automation for repetitive processes

• Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot IP networking components within a critical Cisco Nexus datacenter network

• Cooperate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are secure, resilient, and prepared for the future

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience with medium to large enterprise networks

• Practical experience with Palo Alto firewalls

• Practical experience with F5 or similar load balancing technologies

• Proficiency in MPLS, OSPF, and BGP routing protocols

• Experience with Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k switching

• Familiarity with Cisco IOS; Nexus OS preferred

• Extensive hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Python, including Netmiko, Nornir, and NAPALM

• Understanding of platform operating systems, router platforms, LAN, WAN, router protocols, MPLS, OSPF, and BGP

• Experience with datacenter networking, DC fabric, interoffice routing, and site-to-site VPNs

• Strong troubleshooting abilities and a data-driven approach to complex network challenges

• Capability to create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and runbooks

• Experience in implementing solutions involving large data centers, interoffice routing plans, site-to-site VPNs, firewalls, IPSec, and monitoring is advantageous
