Senior Network Engineer, Cisco Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Configures, tests, and manages corporate LAN/WAN equipment along with associated services.

• Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues within the network.

• Develops and maintains thorough documentation for all deployed networks.

• Assists in the preparation of proposals and solution presentations under the guidance of the network director or team lead.

• Conducts daily maintenance, problem resolution, operating system updates, software upgrades, and routine hardware configurations.

• Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

• Engages in a 24x7 on-call rotation, including weekend and off-shift work for projects and support.

• Performs additional duties as assigned by the director of networking.

• Achieves and maintains necessary certifications for partnerships with key vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a Cisco certification or be actively pursuing at least a CCNP, accompanied by substantial Cisco networking experience.

• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in configuring Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, or Firepower Firewalls.

• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the configuration of Cisco routers [ISR4xxx and ASR1xxx] and switches (Catalyst 4500, 6500, 9500, and Nexus 5K and 9K).

• In-depth technical understanding of the design, implementation, and operation of TCP/IP networks, including Layers 1-3 routing.

• Familiarity with EIGRP.

• Comprehensive knowledge of BGP, including route filters, prefix-lists, and communities.

• Experience with WIFI is mandatory.

• Understanding of or practical knowledge in Python would be advantageous.

• Knowledge of or experience with Confluence collaboration software would be beneficial.

• Proficiency in the Cisco ACI fabric; experience with Cisco ACI is a plus.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Visio for network design and diagrams.

• Exceptional communication skills in the English language, both verbal and written.
