This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, implement, and sustain a robust and scalable network infrastructure tailored for residential and small business FTTH services.
• Develop and deploy configurations for core network devices, including routers, switches, servers, and firewalls.
• Collaborate with OSP, Field Operations, and NOC teams to ensure network readiness, capacity planning, and efficient service delivery.
• Assess and incorporate new technologies and architectures to enhance network performance and reduce costs.
• Monitor network performance continuously and proactively troubleshoot to resolve any network issues.
• Conduct root cause analyses and post-incident reviews for significant network events.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Supervise automation initiatives to optimize network management and improve response times.
• Implement and uphold network security protocols, including access control, authentication, and traffic segmentation.
• Develop and test procedures for disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards concerning data integrity and network security.
• Mentor the network engineering and NOC teams, fostering the development of junior engineers and technicians.
• Contribute to strategic network planning and the formulation of long-term technology roadmaps.
• Manage vendor and consultant escalations while enhancing vendor support relationships.
• Identify and evaluate improvements in network design, automation, observability, performance, and operational processes.
• Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing scalability, cost efficiency, and customer experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Network Engineer, Network Administrator, or a comparable role within a service provider or broadband setting.
• Possession of professional certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, or equivalent qualifications.
• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and other essential routing and switching protocols.
• Proficiency with network operating systems including JUNOS and Cisco IOS.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as LibreNMS.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and access control frameworks.
• Proven problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities with a proactive and ownership-oriented approach.
• Exceptional organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Capability to pass a standard background check.
• At least 2 professional references are required.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, with potential night or weekend shifts as needed.
• Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
• Ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods while utilizing a computer and office equipment.
• Capability to perform fine motor tasks such as typing or using a mouse for prolonged durations.
