This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.
• Take charge of designing, overseeing, and maintaining intricate network infrastructures within both private and public cloud environments, ensuring stable, reliable, and secure operations for data center networks.
• Develop sophisticated network configurations and enhancements for data center settings, guaranteeing secure, stable, and efficient functionality.
• Spearhead strategic initiatives aimed at improving network architecture and integrating automation for increased operational efficiency.
• Formulate solutions for complex incidents and implement significant changes by collaborating with architects, project engineers, and cross-functional teams, including Virtualization, Cloud, Linux, and Windows.
• Serve as a technical authority, consulting with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver expert advice, share best practices, and uphold high standards of operational excellence and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's knowledge-sharing efforts.
• Engage in capacity planning, risk assessments, and vendor evaluations to guarantee scalability and resilience.
• Propel technology adoption and assess emerging solutions to bolster network security and performance.
• Ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements across all network operations.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and securing large-scale data center networks, IP networking, and implementing secure and scalable network solutions.
• Strong capability to resolve complex network issues in production data center and customer environments while collaborating across various teams.
• Ability to work autonomously, lead projects, and collaborate effectively.
• Proficiency in both Lithuanian and English.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus 3K/5K/9K and a solid understanding of dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IP networking and L2/L3 network protocols, including TCP/IP, VLAN, VRRP, LACP, MC-LAG, EVPN with VXLAN, DHCP, and DNS.
• Strong expertise in next-generation firewalls like Palo Alto, Fortigate, and Checkpoint.
• Proficient in creating high-quality documentation.
• Fluency in both Lithuanian and English (written and spoken) is essential.
• Experience in network automation for infrastructure deployment, Application Delivery Controllers (F5), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Python programming, VMware NSX-T technologies, public cloud network technologies, and familiarity with DevOps principles and the integration of networking into CI/CD pipelines will be considered a significant advantage.
