Infrastructure Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Telemetry & Observability: Take charge of our network monitoring platform (**LibreNMS**). Your role will ensure complete visibility of all network components, refine alerting to reduce noise, and create dashboards that accurately represent the real-time state of the network.

• Multi-Vendor Operations: Seamlessly transition between hands-on configurations, intricate fault resolutions, and daily management of platforms including **MikroTik (RouterOS), Arista (EOS), and FRR**.

• Traffic & Capacity Engineering: Perform capacity planning and traffic optimization to guarantee our national and international network infrastructure scales effortlessly in line with business growth.

• Proactive Risk Management: Serve as the initial line of defense—spotting infrastructure risks, securing network components, and addressing issues before they escalate into incidents affecting stakeholders.

• Documentation Culture: Keep stakeholders updated and maintain comprehensive network documentation, diagrams, and topology maps (because if it's not documented, it hasn't been done).

• The Multi-Vendor Edge: You possess demonstrated experience managing networks that do not depend on a single major vendor. You actively comprehend how to integrate **MikroTik, Arista, and open-source routing (FRR/Linux)** effectively.

• The LibreNMS Expert: You go beyond merely interpreting graphs; you know how to configure alerts and develop meaningful monitoring dashboards.

• International Scope: You have experience navigating the latency, routing, and capacity challenges associated with national or international network infrastructures.

• Ownership Mentality: You take initiative and do not wait for a ticket to resolve an evident issue or update missing documentation.
