Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Deliver network support across various Alkami cloud, corporate, and customer environments.

• Collaborate directly with customers to assist with Alkami's networking products and solutions.

• Complete assigned tasks through a ticketing system for diverse systems.

• Take ownership of network troubleshooting from initiation to resolution.

• Employ various troubleshooting tools, including log file analysis and packet captures.

• Ensure the ongoing smooth operation of Alkami’s expanding network infrastructure.

• Monitor the performance of infrastructure.

• Plan and execute systems upgrades, patching, and compliance remediation tasks.

• Install and maintain various network systems, such as firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.

• Administer and maintain monitoring systems and troubleshooting tools.

• Document networking processes and procedures.

• Create and sustain logical and physical network diagrams, along with knowledge base articles.

• Review, verify, and conduct various IT system maintenance tasks, including backups, upgrades, and patching.

• Mentor junior Network Engineers.

• Provide on-call support during business and non-business hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in network design, administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• Cisco CCNP or an equivalent certification.

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certificate or higher.

• 1-2 years of experience in network automation and programming.

• Proficiency in networking technologies, including load balancers, firewalls, and VPN.

• Exceptional customer support skills.

• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and troubleshooting abilities.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
