Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage intricate WAN and LAN environments that utilize BGP, OSPF, and IPSec routing and encryption protocols.

• Operate stateful inspection and next-generation firewalls.

• Oversee large-scale WAN technologies, including QoS, monitoring, security, and network automation.

• Work collaboratively with a team of engineers in a cooperative setting.

• Provide support for high-profile engineering projects.

• Develop design strategies for enterprise networks, focusing on bandwidth capacity, circuit and hardware redundancy, and packet analysis capabilities.

• Architect enterprise networks employing eBGP, iBGP, BGP route-reflectors, IS-IS, LISP, GETVPN, and MPLS on Arista platforms.

• Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, which includes system design documents, deployment/build plans, and test plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10-14 years of experience with profound knowledge of routing and firewall technologies is essential.

• Bachelor of Science in Mathematics or Engineering field is required.

• Experience in deploying PEO Digital/PAE Mission Systems enterprise networks.

• Skilled in deploying and configuring routers, multilayer switches, and firewalls/IPSes from Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, or Juniper.

• A Secret clearance or higher is preferred.

• 8140 compliance (Active Security and OS certifications) is necessary.

• Vendor certifications from Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), Arista, Juniper, or Palo Alto are preferred.

• Experience with deploying, configuring, and managing TAP environments (Gigamon, NETSCOUT, Arista DMF).

• Practical experience with Cisco Modeling Labs (CML) and Emulated Virtual Environments Next Generation (EVE-NG).

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
