Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage cloud and hybrid network infrastructures across various environments.

• Configure and oversee F5 BIG-IP systems to facilitate load balancing, traffic management, and application delivery.

• Administer Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Barracuda solutions to safeguard application and network layers.

• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to assess risks, enforce policies, and address incidents by asking the right questions early on to ensure appropriate solutions are developed.

• Methodically troubleshoot complex network problems, clearly communicate findings, and document resolution paths for team learning.

• Proactively identify gaps and areas for improvement, present recommendations with context, and follow through on implementation.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on steady, deliberate progress rather than abrupt changes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with significant time spent in cloud environments.

• Demonstrated experience in configuring and managing F5 BIG-IP (LTM, ASM/WAF).

• Strong understanding of load balancing principles and practical application delivery.

• Experience with Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with Barracuda, SonicWall, and other network appliances.

• Ability to work across various firewall platforms and translate security requirements into network policies.

• A communication style that is direct, open, and respectful, allowing you to raise concerns early, share context generously, and engage in honest discussions even in difficult situations.

• A growth mindset: you evaluate yourself not against perfection but based on your progress since the last quarter.
