Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain cloud and hybrid network infrastructures across various environments.

• Configure and oversee F5 BIG-IP systems for load balancing, traffic management, and application delivery.

• Manage Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Barracuda solutions to safeguard application and network layers.

• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to assess risks, enforce policies, and address incidents, ensuring that the right inquiries are made early to develop effective solutions.

• Methodically troubleshoot intricate network issues, clearly communicate findings, and document resolution processes that can serve as learning resources for the entire team.

• Proactively identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, present recommendations with context, and follow through on initiatives.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, not through drastic changes, but through consistent and thoughtful progress.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with significant exposure to cloud environments.

• Demonstrated experience in configuring and managing F5 BIG-IP (LTM, ASM/WAF).

• Strong understanding of load balancing principles and practical application delivery.

• Experience with Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with Barracuda, SonicWall, and other network appliances.

• Ability to work across various firewall platforms and translate security requirements into network policies.

• A direct, open, and respectful communication style that encourages early surfacing of concerns, generous sharing of context, and honest dialogue, even in challenging situations.
