Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.

📋 Description

• Execute network and security initiatives utilizing Cisco technologies, which include Meraki and Catalyst environments.

• Design, implement, and provide support for routing and switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and security solutions.

• Oversee support queues and manage incidents until they are successfully resolved.

• Diagnose customer network environments and deliver ongoing operational assistance.

• Foster and maintain robust customer relationships through effective communication and service delivery.

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operational standards.

• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity and streamline daily technical workflows.

• Participate in automation initiatives, API integrations, tooling enhancements, and workflow optimizations.

• Create reusable technical documentation for both customers and internal teams.

• Assist with maintenance activities and project delivery requirements as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in network engineering or support roles, preferably within an MSP, systems integrator, or technology partner setting.

• Profound networking knowledge across routing and switching, wireless networking, SD-WAN, and security technologies.

• Practical experience with Cisco technologies, especially Cisco Meraki and Catalyst solutions.

• Equivalent technical proficiency to CCNP or JNCIP certification standards.

• Familiarity with network automation technologies such as Python, Ansible, REST APIs, Terraform, or Git.

• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code concepts and automation-first operational models.

• Experience with AI-assisted tools and workflows is a plus.

• Exposure to voice networking technologies is advantageous.

• Cisco certifications like CCNA, CCNP, DevNet Associate, or equivalent are preferred.
