This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada, +1 more state.
β’ Investigate, assess, and manage complex, high-exposure multi-line claims in accordance with company standards, client directives, and relevant state regulations.
β’ Lead the claims strategy for files facing significant litigation, collaborating closely with defense counsel.
β’ Conduct thorough coverage analysis, including the interpretation and application of policy terms.
β’ Analyze and implement contractual risk transfer mechanisms, including indemnity and additional insured provisions.
β’ Establish and manage substantial reserves, incorporating reserve strategies and exposure evaluations.
β’ Direct and oversee defense counsel, expert witnesses, and associated vendors.
β’ Negotiate high-stakes settlements that align with legal strategies, client expectations, and authority guidelines.
β’ Review and authorize complex legal, medical, and damage-related invoices.
β’ Provide strategic communication to clients, updating them on claim status, exposure analysis, and resolution strategies.
β’ Collaborate with excess and reinsurance carriers on major loss files.
β’ Identify and actively pursue subrogation opportunities.
β’ Maintain thorough and defensible documentation within the claims system.
β’ Act as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced adjusters.
β’ Ensure adherence to corporate claims handling standards and client service commitments.
β’ Deliver comprehensive analysis, defensible decision-making, strategic file management, effective litigation outcomes, financial accuracy, cost containment, and proactive client engagement.
β’ Over 8 years of experience in multi-line claims handling.
β’ At least 5 years of experience managing complex, high-exposure, and heavily litigated liability claims.
β’ Strong proficiency in litigation management, oversight of defense counsel, and claims resolution strategies.
β’ Advanced understanding of WCEL, complex liability coverage analysis, contractual risk transfer, indemnity, additional insured provisions, and umbrella/excess liability issues.
β’ Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interactions with executive-level clients.
β’ Ability to independently manage highly complex claims with minimal oversight.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
β’ Possession of a current adjuster license in the home state; multiple licenses are strongly preferred.
β’ A strong legal background is preferred.
β’ Prior experience with TPA handling of national accounts is preferred.
β’ Experience with construction defect, construction liability, general liability, or significant commercial trucking losses is preferred.
β’ Experience managing CROP claims is preferred.
β’ Industry designations such as CPCU, AIC, or ARM are preferred.
β’ Licenses from New York and Hawaii are preferred.
β’ Must be eligible to work without requiring visa sponsorship.
