This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and manage a scalable, high-availability Moodle platform.
• Produce clean, well-documented PHP 8+ code adhering to OOP principles and Moodle's coding standards.
• Create and maintain custom Moodle plugins, as well as develop and customize Moodle themes.
• Implement and troubleshoot SCORM course packaging and runtime communication.
• Develop responsive front-end experiences utilizing modern JavaScript.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and instructional designers to convert wireframes into refined components.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in Moodle development, including custom plugin creation, theme development, and platform management.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of Moodle's plugin API, hook system, capability/role framework, gradebook API, and web services layer.
• Proficient in PHP 8+ with expert-level understanding of OOP, namespaces, Composer, and PSR standards.
• Strong command of MySQL / MariaDB, including schema design, query optimization, and migrations.
• Proven hands-on experience with SCORM 1.2 / 2004, xAPI, and LTI integration—beyond just a basic understanding of the specifications.
• Strong JavaScript (ES6+) skills, with experience in at least one modern front-end framework (React preferred).
• Proficient in Git version control and collaborative branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based).
• Experience in designing and consuming REST APIs, including authentication methods (OAuth, JWT, API keys).
