Senior Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Mobile-First AI: Architect and scale the core infrastructure of our native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) applications to facilitate agentic workflows, multi-turn conversations, and real-time AI interactions.

• Drive the Agent Interface: Spearhead the deployment of mobile-specific AI functionalities, emphasizing low-latency streaming, multi-modal inputs, and client-side agentic state management.

• Own the Mobile Lifecycle: Assume complete responsibility for the mobile development lifecycle—from initial architectural specifications to deployment, CI/CD optimization on AWS, and ensuring production reliability.

• Mentor & Multiply: Serve as a force multiplier within the engineering organization. You'll provide insightful, constructive code reviews and mentor engineers at all levels, assisting them in enhancing their mobile and AI skills.

• Navigate Ambiguity: Rapidly prototype and iterate on complex challenges—such as offline synchronization of agent states and managing high-volume data pipelines—with minimal direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on native mobile development.

• Native iOS and/or Android Experience: Demonstrated expertise in either Swift and/or Kotlin with the expectation of working across both. You should be adept at leading technical decisions and reviewing code for both platforms.

• Technical leadership: Proven track record of leading projects, defining requirements, and shaping technical strategy for mobile features.

• Modern Tooling Proficiency: Experience in leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) to enhance engineering efficiency and code quality.

• Architecture: Extensive experience with mobile design patterns, threading, and memory management, particularly in relation to managing long-running asynchronous AI tasks.
