Senior Mobile Engineer, Android

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical direction for the Circle Medical Android application, ensuring it remains stable, secure, and in line with iOS feature parity.

• Design, implement, test, and sustain patient-oriented features with an emphasis on security, scalability, and performance.

• Work collaboratively with design, product, and clinical teams to deliver engaging and intuitive user experiences.

• Partner with iOS and Fullstack engineers to develop features across various platforms (e.g., web, iOS, Android).

• Enhance and maintain the CI/CD release pipeline to guarantee dependable, high-quality weekly releases.

• Develop secure, HIPAA-compliant software that can be trusted by both patients and clinicians.

• Contribute to the engineering culture, recruitment efforts, and the establishment of best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience as a Mobile Software Engineer, showcasing considerable expertise in Android development.

• Demonstrated experience in shipping and maintaining commercial Android applications on a large scale.

• Strong knowledge of Kotlin fundamentals and proficiency in Jetpack Compose, with the ability to work with legacy XML/View-based screens during our ongoing migration.

• Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns (MVVM, reactive programming).

• Familiarity with Dagger, the dependency injection framework currently utilized.

• A strong commitment to testing, quality assurance, and engineering best practices.

• An eye for clean and user-friendly Android design and user experience.

• Comfortable working with AI-assisted development tools (such as Cursor and Claude Code) as part of the daily workflow.
