This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and sustain in-depth knowledge of Defense Unicorns’ products and capabilities, which include UDS, Fleet, Zarf, and associated platform technologies.
• Convert customer requirements, mission objectives, and operational challenges into actionable tasks and delivery plans.
• Take ownership of mission results and execution of delivery with minimal supervision.
• Oversee backlog management, sprint planning, prioritization, and activities related to delivery tracking.
• Collaborate directly with Army stakeholders to comprehend mission goals, gather requirements, and convey progress updates.
• Clearly communicate technical concepts and solution capabilities to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead the identification of customer challenges, future capability requirements, and prospects for enhanced support.
• Monitor delivery risks, dependencies, and issues while coordinating plans for mitigation.
• Work in partnership with technical leads, architects, and engineers to ensure solutions meet customer needs and adhere to engineering best practices.
• Provide technical input for proposals, technical responses, white papers, and ROM development initiatives.
• Assist with the onboarding and mentoring of team members.
• Engage in hiring activities, candidate interviews, and team-building initiatives.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes in production settings (Azure AKS, AWS EKS, or on-premise distributions like RKE2, K3s, or OpenShift).
• Proficiency in using Helm for packaging and deploying containerized applications.
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, OpenTofu).
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures, encompassing networking, RBAC, and storage for both cloud and on-premise clusters.
• Understanding of DevSecOps/DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or GitHub).
• Experience in working with or supporting the U.S. Army, Army Software Factory, or similar Department of Defense software organizations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote team environment.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
