Senior Middleware Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Utilize software engineering principles within the operations sector.

• Ensure that service reliability aligns with user expectations for both internal critical and external visible services.

• Design, construct, and maintain large-scale, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems.

• Develop APIs leveraging Red Hat technology products and services.

• Design, develop, and oversee Kafka-based data pipelines.

• Analyze and resolve issues within Kafka applications.

• Monitor the performance of Kafka and troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous data flow.

• Participate in an on-call rotation for providing 24x7x365 production support and addressing urgent customer inquiries.

• Engage in sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.

• Collaborate across microservices, API management, web-scale architectures, DevOps engineering, application delivery, and container-based continuous delivery utilizing the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

• Work with Red Hat and the open-source community to develop software solutions that support customers' transformation journeys.

• Provide guidance to customers and apply critical thinking to tackle complex challenges.

• Mentor and coach team members on both technical and non-technical skills.

• Continue to code actively during engagements.

• Assist presales and post-sales field teams during workshops, proofs of concept, pilots, and production deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience and advanced expertise in middleware technologies.

• Experience in enterprise web or middleware development projects with a focus on application integration.

• Familiarity and some practical experience with Red Hat OpenShift.

• Hands-on experience utilizing cloud as a development environment.

• Understanding of JEE and middleware technologies.

• Strong technical abilities in designing and implementing JEE solutions.

• Comprehensive experience with at least one major middleware solution, preferably Red Hat JBoss Middleware; other options include Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, WebMethods, or Tibco.

• Practical application development experience following an Agile methodology.

• Experience in building pipelines and CI/CD processes.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and microservices architecture.

• Skills in enterprise Java development are advantageous.

• Familiarity with Hibernate and Tomcat is a plus.

• Practical experience with AMQ and API management tools like 3scale.

• A willingness and capability to independently learn new technologies and apply new concepts to solve problems.

• Additional experience or knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Fuse, Red Hat 3Scale, Red Hat AMQ, or Red Hat AMQ Streams (Kafka) is beneficial.

• Experience with Argo CD, Tekton Pipelines, Helm, or Jenkins.

• Familiarity with application and infrastructure monitoring.

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Golang, Python, or shell scripting.
