Senior Medical Science Liaison, Obesity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Champion medical and scientific excellence within the Obesity Therapeutic Area.

• Provide expert leadership to support clinical development, scientific engagement, and the execution of medical strategy.

• Establish trusted relationships with external experts and collaborate across various functions.

• Assist in the clinical trial start-up process, including site selection, enrollment, retention, execution, and close-out.

• Identify, map, and engage key opinion leaders (KOLs), investigators, clinical leaders, research centers, and other external stakeholders.

• Lead scientific exchanges with healthcare professionals, medical societies, and patient organizations.

• Collect and communicate actionable scientific insights.

• Offer scientific guidance and training to investigators, site personnel, clinical teams, and colleagues.

• Aid in resolving medical and trial-related challenges.

• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Medical, Access, regional teams, and other functions.

• Contribute scientific and clinical insights to local product and therapeutic area strategies.

• Mentor colleagues and provide leadership in scientific engagement and execution.

• Frequent travel across the UK is required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A scientific degree with applicable biopharmaceutical industry experience.

• Extensive clinical trial expertise, particularly in study start-up and recruitment processes.

• Familiarity with GCP and local regulations.

• Strong scientific acumen, with the capability to clearly communicate complex medical information.

• Demonstrated ability to engage KOLs, investigators, and other stakeholders, leading impactful scientific discussions.

• Experience in metabolic diseases, especially obesity and/or diabetes, is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, decision-making, and prioritization skills.

• A proactive and independent work approach.
