
Senior Medical Science Liaison – Multiple Territories

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identifies, builds, and sustains collaborative relationships with key investigators, institutions, groups, and consortia within disease areas that align with the company’s strategic focus.
• Educates the medical community regarding the company’s investigational products and targeted disease areas.
• Enhances company visibility and fosters professional engagement with current and prospective oncology leaders.
• Engages in medical education for healthcare professionals, including presentations at formulary (P&T) committees and relevant venues.
• Collaborates with appropriate departments and personnel at clinical sites to ensure the necessary education and training are delivered as required.
• Identifies clinical research opportunities that align with the company's objectives.
• Serves as the primary contact for the investigator-initiated research program, guiding the process from concept submission to publication.
• Recognizes and communicates critical clinical and research insights from oncology leaders to inform the company’s research direction.
• Maintains a high level of clinical and scientific knowledge through continuous training and self-education, including attendance at pertinent conferences, scientific workshops, and review of key publications.
• Collects and shares competitive intelligence in a compliant manner.
• Mentors other members of the MSL team and actively participates in the cross-functional Medical Affairs team.
• Effectively manages the administrative components of regional field activities.
• Makes substantial contributions and provides medical leadership for internal cross-functional programs and projects.
• Responds to unsolicited requests for medical information in collaboration with Medical Information Services personnel.
• Completes accurate and timely reports, project plans, and required documentation requests.
• Contributes significantly to scientific publication planning, slide-deck development, training initiatives, and the development/implementation of a Medical Strategy Plan.
• Leads national priority projects or cross-functional initiatives on behalf of Medical Affairs.
• Oversees interactions for select priority projects with external collaborators or groups.
• Works with MA Training to identify and deliver advanced training initiatives.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Pharmaceutical Industry Medical Affairs as an MSL/Sr. MSL, with preference given to candidates with solid tumor experience.
• An advanced degree (M.D., Ph.D. or Pharm.D.) is preferred, along with prior experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare education sectors.
• Willingness to travel up to 65% of the time: As this role involves customer interaction and encompasses a large geographic territory, the candidate's availability for frequent travel is crucial for professional and programmatic success.
• Familiarity with treatment guidelines (NCCN, ASCO, ESMO, etc.), clinical research processes, FDA regulations, CMS reimbursement coverage processes, and OIG guidelines.
• Knowledge or experience in head and neck tumors/solid tumors is advantageous.
• Ability to network and collaborate with key external stakeholders, including medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, NCI Cooperative Group leadership and members, medical directors of medical groups or insurance carriers, and pharmacy directors.
• Must be highly articulate and self-assured during both formal and informal presentations, capable of conveying complex scientific concepts fluently to diverse audiences.
• Travel: Approximately 60-70% domestic travel is required.
