Senior Medical Science Liaison – DMD/Neuromuscular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the recruitment for clinical trials and outreach to sites, providing coordinated feedback to the Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, and Duchenne Core teams.

• Act as the field-based Medical Affairs representative to build and nurture scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the Duchenne community.

• Acquire a deep understanding of clinical practices related to Duchenne.

• Engage in refining KOL mapping and create a customer-focused tactical engagement plan to enhance Medical Affairs strategies.

• Collect and disseminate scientific insights through scientific exchanges to inform actionable and innovative Medical Affairs strategies.

• Serve as a resource for addressing unsolicited medical inquiries about REGENXBIO’s trials and investigational products.

• Offer clinical expertise in the creation, management, and upkeep of clinical and scientific communications, including educational materials, presentations for meetings, and frequently asked questions.

• Represent Medical Affairs at medical conferences: assist with congress strategy and planning, staff the medical booth, gather competitive intelligence and insights, and generate summaries of meetings.

• Support Patient Advocacy conferences and outreach upon request.

• As this is a field-based role, willingness to travel 50-70% of the time is essential.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree (MPH or equivalent) is required.

• A Doctorate level (MD, PharmD, PhD) is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in rare disease clinical or therapeutic settings, particularly in neuromuscular diseases and/or gene therapy, focusing on field-based scientific exchange and/or clinical trial support.

• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to quickly assimilate new clinical data.

• Strong proactive problem-solving abilities.

• Skills in project management and medical writing.

• Flexibility, resilience, and a creative/innovative approach to work.

• Capability to organize and lead high-level projects.

• Aptitude for anticipating issues and resolving problems proactively.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
