Senior Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers in the design, analysis, and assessment of systems utilizing engineering software, while providing support to senior engineers.

• Implement engineering principles along with engineering codes and standards, such as ASME and ANSI, in the design, analysis, and evaluation of systems.

• Address technical challenges for operational nuclear power plants, new facilities (e.g., AP1000, eVinci), and various nuclear projects (e.g., fuel fabrication facilities).

• Create calculations and reports to document design and analysis outcomes in compliance with ASME Section III code requirements and other international standards.

• Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines, including electrical and civil/structural engineering.

• Engage in project teams with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Attend customer and vendor meetings to present technical information and justify services and product designs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical (preferred), Civil, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.

• Engineering in Training (EIT) certification.

• Professional Engineer license is advantageous.

• 5 to 10 years of engineering experience.

• Experience in the power industry (e.g., nuclear power plant) is a plus.
