This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Creating and designing Heat Rejection and HVAC systems specifically customized for data centers.
• Selecting the most suitable air/water side cooling systems for data centers.
• Conducting internal CFD simulations to enhance airflow distribution.
• Designing HVAC systems that incorporate redundancy and fault-tolerant features.
• Performing heat load calculations for data centers.
• Assessing the cooling requirements.
• Implementing energy-efficient strategies in HVAC design.
• Ensuring the air quality within the data center is consistently maintained.
• Collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of the heat rejection and HVAC systems.
• A Bachelor's Degree with over 6 years of relevant experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience in the installation and operation of mechanical and electrical equipment within data centers.
• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC engineering, or a related field from an accredited university is generally required.
• Familiarity with the data center TER Standard Topology as defined by Uptime Institute, TIA 942, ANSI/BICSI 002.
• Professional certifications related to HVAC engineering, such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP), or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation, are advantageous.
