Senior Mechanical Construction Estimator – HVAC, Plumbing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Create precise and detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems involved in construction projects.

• Examine project plans and specifications to identify the work scope and necessary materials.

• Work collaboratively with project teams to formulate comprehensive cost management strategies.

• Evaluate project needs and suggest value engineering alternatives.

• Conduct cost risk assessments and contribute to value engineering discussions.

• Engage and collaborate with clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders.

• Employ industry-standard estimating software and tools to generate estimates.

• Offer estimating advice, support, and analysis to project stakeholders.

• Keep current with industry-specific estimating techniques and methodologies.

• Compile formal estimating reports that include quantity, cost, escalation, and other assumptions and clarifications.

• Aid in the establishment of estimating standards and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field in construction.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.

• Excels in a client-facing role.

• Experience with large-scale construction projects and programs.

• Strong understanding of technical aspects of the construction industry, such as value management and value engineering.

• Excellent communication skills.
