Senior MDR Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Analyze and assess unusual network and system incidents within a 24/7/365 Security Operation Center (SOC).

• Work in partnership with MDR Analysts to investigate and research emerging cyber security threats.

• Create incident analysis reports and collaborate with various business units and clients to resolve issues.

• Assist in the design and implementation of operational processes and procedures to enhance overall SOC effectiveness.

• Deliver actionable threat and vulnerability assessments based on security events across multiple independent customer environments.

• Establish test lab environments to explore emerging techniques.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5+) years' experience in an information security position.

• Previous experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC).

• At least two (2+) years' experience in triaging endpoint events from EDR, NGAV, and supporting the Incident Response (IR) process.

• Extensive knowledge of evaluating threat indicators within a Windows environment.

• Strong understanding of at least two of the following operating systems: Windows, Linux, or OSX.

• Familiarity with the ELK stack (Dashboards, Logstash Config, Searching), and scripting or programming in Powershell, Python, and Go.

• Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, and IAM, as well as Azure/M365.

• Experience in developing, refining, and conducting leadless threat hunting analysis.

• Outstanding problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
