Senior Manual Software QA Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to formulate detailed test plans and cases.

• Establish test scenarios that assess functionality, integration, regression, and end-to-end processes.

• Prepare and oversee test data to facilitate manual testing initiatives.

• Execute manual test cases across web, mobile, and backend platforms.

• Identify, document, and monitor software defects utilizing a defect tracking system.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to replicate, prioritize, and resolve issues.

• Conduct regression testing to confirm fixes and ensure that existing functionalities remain stable.

• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to maintain clarity on requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

• Deliver clear, timely, and comprehensive test results and quality metrics to stakeholders.

• Ensure that software adheres to usability, accessibility, and customer experience standards.

• Serve as an advocate for the end user, guaranteeing that defects and gaps are addressed prior to release.

• Provide constructive feedback to enhance application design, functionality, and performance.

• Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, templates, and best practices.

• Keep abreast of industry trends and testing methodologies to enhance effectiveness.

• Assist in test documentation, knowledge sharing, and cross-training within the QA team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• 2–4 years of experience in manual software testing.

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.

• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, Azure DevOps).

• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development environments.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and documentation skills.

• ISTQB or other QA certification is preferred.

• Experience in testing across various platforms (web, mobile, API, desktop) is preferred.

• Familiarity with SQL for basic data validation and back-end testing is preferred.

• Exposure to accessibility and usability testing is preferred.

• Understanding of automation concepts and a willingness to collaborate with automation teams is preferred.
