This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Take ownership of QA for your product team from start to finish: including test strategy, checklists, test cases, and more.
• Assess product quality using significant QA metrics and indicators (not superficial numbers).
• Communicate QA status, risks, and plans to your team and product stakeholders.
• Review feature requirements early to identify gaps, ambiguities, and risks prior to development.
• Lead releases as the accountable QA; track deployment outcomes in production.
• Identify defects and monitor them from discovery to resolution.
• Validate data directly within databases - you will engage with databases regularly in this role.
• Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Present product demonstrations to the Product Owner.
• Investigate and implement new QA methodologies and tools, including AI-assisted QA (agents, skills) to enhance routine tasks.
• Continuously refine the team's QA processes.
• Over 4 years of QA experience with server-side/backend applications.
• Strong skills in test design and analysis, including risk-based prioritization, robust test-design techniques, and exploratory testing.
• Systematic approach and independence - demonstrated experience in enhancing and driving QA processes, comfortable within a mixed Scrum/non-Scrum environment.
• Extensive hands-on experience with microservice-based systems - understanding the pros and cons of microservice architecture is essential.
• Proficient in API testing - comfortable with Postman and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD - able to comprehend and read pipelines (GitLab CI).
• Experience with bug tracking systems - Jira, with structured defect management and reporting.
• Strong troubleshooting skills - capable of pinpointing failures (frontend vs backend vs data vs infra).
• Proficient in logs/observability - able to investigate using ELK/Grafana.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher; possesses good communication skills.
• Nice to have: Previous experience with ClickHouse.
• Experience in web UI testing and familiarity with design systems (component libraries).
• Familiarity with test automation tools - experience using automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent technologies.
• Knowledge of AI applications for QA productivity - utilizing agents/skills/LLM tools to automate and enhance routine tasks.
• Experience in the product or iGaming domain.
