This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of attorneys dedicated to supporting U.S. medical network contracting.

• Serve as the primary legal counsel concerning provider relationships, strategies, and support.

• Assist business partners in the development and execution of strategic initiatives and key projects affecting the medical network.

• Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams on network products and solutions.

• Build strong business relationships with stakeholders involved in Cigna’s provider relationships.

• Ensure the provision of high-quality legal support to essential internal clients.

• Negotiate provider contracts, including value-based reimbursement arrangements and delegation agreements.

• Stay informed about the regulatory and enforcement environment impacting the business.

• Aid the business in creating measures to enhance contracting governance and implementation.

• Act as a strategic advisor to the business team and enterprise colleagues regarding the implications and responses to proposed and new rules, regulations, and legislation affecting the provider network.


⛳️ Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the bar is required.

• Over 10 years of legal experience in a corporate legal department and/or law firm.

• At least 3 years of experience in leading, managing, and developing attorneys and legal teams.

• Extensive experience in supporting provider contracting, provider relationships, and network strategy within the managed care, health insurance, or healthcare sectors.

• In-depth knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, and government healthcare programs.

• Proven experience in negotiating and drafting complex provider agreements, including value-based reimbursement and delegation arrangements.
