This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
β’ Structure, draft, and negotiate intricate commercial agreements, particularly those related to technology sales, data transactions, or service arrangements.
β’ Offer timely, business-oriented legal counsel on complex commercial contracts as well as in areas such as technology and privacy.
β’ Collaborate effectively across business units, compliance, and legal teams to pinpoint issues, devise solutions, and finalize commercial transactions.
β’ Spearhead the creation of templates, playbooks, and process enhancements to facilitate efficient contract review and negotiation.
β’ Proactively identify legal challenges and propose practical, innovative solutions within fast-paced and dynamic business environments.
β’ Assist in aligning business objectives with legal frameworks in regulated sectors.
β’ Navigate uncertainty with assurance and help define evolving business models and opportunities.
β’ Promote a culture of open communication and collaborative problem-solving within a distributed, virtual team.
β’ Juris Doctorate and active bar membership in good standing.
β’ At least 7 years of legal experience, preferably within a law firm or the in-house legal department of a mid- to large-sized organization.
β’ Proven proficiency in one or more of the following fields: commercial contracting, privacy, technology, artificial intelligence, intellectual property, corporate strategy, data governance, international operations, and/or highly regulated industries.
β’ Experience working within a corporate parent organization and across a network of affiliated entities.
β’ Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on collaboration, team development, mentoring, and strategic direction.
β’ Executive presence paired with exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Competent project management skills, encompassing the capacity to prioritize and deliver across multiple workstreams.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office and other pertinent legal or business technology applications.
β’ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
β’ Demonstrated discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive and confidential information.
β’ High business acumen, including the capability to evaluate and communicate legal risks in a commercial context and contribute to the formulation of business cases and return-on-investment assessments.
