Senior Manager, Technical Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the interpretation, execution, and documentation of both new and existing accounting standards, while addressing emerging issues across various corporate functional areas.

• Provide direct support for the global financial reporting process related to quarterly and annual financial statements, particularly regarding Form 10-Q and Form 10-K submissions.

• Ensure global uniformity and consistency in accounting practices, policies, key judgments, and procedural protocols across all business units.

• Collaborate with Regional Controllership teams and finance shared services outsourcing providers to coordinate, analyze, and support global company audits.

• Utilize advanced judgment and interpretative skills to assess country-level accounting challenges and independently devise innovative, group-wide solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10-12 years of experience in financial statement auditing and reporting within a public accounting firm or a large, multinational public corporation.

• A minimum of 5 years of successful experience operating at a managerial level or higher.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.

• In-depth knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) along with extensive multinational audit experience.

• Demonstrated capability in navigating complex corporate environments, performing thorough financial analysis, and regularly collaborating with senior management.
