Senior Accountant I, Corporate Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assists in the operations of the accounting teams.

• Exhibits effective collaboration throughout the organization.

• Recognizes opportunities for process enhancements.

• Fosters a culture that balances innovation with financial accountability.

• Prepares manual journal entries pertaining to accruals, prepaids, and reserves.

• Oversees accounting entries generated during the month.

• Evaluates monthly financial outcomes.

• Quickly identifies data discrepancies and exceptions.

• Engages in the timely execution of tasks related to monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

• Aids in the annual audit process.

• Collaborates with international teams.

• Ensures the accuracy of data integrity.

• Compiles monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.

• Documents and maintains updated procedures.

• Identifies areas for improvement in the reconciliation and reporting processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• Over 7 years of accounting experience, encompassing financial analysis and systems expertise.

• Experience in public accounting is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP systems.

• A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on process optimization and automation.

• Ability to work effectively across different teams and locations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• CPA certification is preferred.
