This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Formulate and implement comprehensive multi-year category strategies for designated indirect spending areas, ensuring they align with overarching business goals and financial objectives.
• Oversee the complete strategic sourcing process, which includes conducting market analysis, developing and executing RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ), managing complex negotiations, and handling contract management.
• Leverage spend analytics and market intelligence to uncover and pursue opportunities for cost savings, providing reports on savings targets with a focus on total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Advocate for the utilization of Coupa’s BSM platform to enhance efficiency, visibility, and compliance within your categories.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 2 procurement specialists or category analysts.
• Offer regular performance feedback through coaching and formal evaluations, while supporting their career development objectives.
• Cultivate a culture of high performance, collaboration, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
• Serve as an escalation point for your team, providing direction on intricate negotiations and stakeholder challenges.
• Build and sustain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure their performance meets or exceeds expectations.
• Conduct regular business reviews with strategic partners to promote continuous improvement, innovation, and value creation.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring advantageous commercial and legal terms are established to mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain robust, trusted relationships with key internal stakeholders across various departments (e.g., Marketing, IT, HR, Finance).
• A minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and category management, particularly within indirect procurement categories.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in formal or informal people leadership, mentorship, or team leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success in achieving substantial cost savings ($) and delivering value beyond savings (e.g., risk mitigation, enhanced service levels).
• Outstanding negotiation skills with proven experience in managing complex, high-value contracts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of analyzing complex data sets (spend data, market research) to generate actionable insights.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Direct experience with the Coupa platform is a notable advantage.
• Experience managing global categories in a dynamic, high-growth technology or software firm.
