Senior Manager, State Product – NJ, CT, NY

📋 Description

• Provide strategic leadership for the territory by managing a portfolio, aligning teams, and making impactful market decisions, which includes cross-functional collaboration to manage key business levers such as pricing, underwriting, and distribution strategy.

• Oversee a team of professionals who are empowered and accountable for anticipating needs and delivering accurate and timely information.

• Champion strategy and advocate for state-specific requirements, showcasing a thorough understanding of compliance as well as CSAA and Club objectives.

• Formulate and implement strategies to meet personal lines budgets while addressing membership needs.

• Create and manage budgets, developing strategies to achieve them, demonstrating comprehensive business acumen and understanding.

• Be a results-oriented voice, utilizing data to motivate others towards actions that foster profitable growth.

• Establish and nurture productive relationships with key partners, including internal teams, distribution partners, and regulatory entities, ensuring credibility, influence, and data-driven motivation for action.

• Collaborate across functions to deliver competitive products and initiate new ones, playing a crucial role in product lifecycle strategy.

• Foster mutually beneficial and productive relationships with distribution partners, including a constructive product feedback loop.

• Actively cultivate relationships with DOIs to facilitate successful product filings.

• Stay informed about rate modifications, loss trends, and regulatory changes, while keeping up with emerging industry shifts and developments.


⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Over 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years managing personal lines insurance products and pricing within diverse and complex markets in the P&C insurance sector.

• At least 5 years of experience in people management.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience leading product management teams or related functions.

• Proven ability in people leadership and actively shaping company culture.

• Demonstrable success in using data to motivate action.

• Experience in product management for medium to large business accounts.

• Strong business acumen with a consultative, results-oriented mindset.

• Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication capabilities.

• Thorough understanding of P&C insurance products, pricing, and product management.

• Proven ability to foster collaboration and teamwork across various functions.

• Expert negotiation and influence skills.

• Advanced research, statistical, and analytical expertise.

• Familiarity with change management concepts and practices.
