Senior Manager, Sportsbook Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete trading strategy, margin objectives, and commercial KPIs for the assigned sports or teams.

• Ensure proper setup of all markets with appropriate market limits, regularly reviewing them as seasons change. Guarantee that desired tournaments are included and offers are routinely assessed and updated.

• Envision, create, establish, publish, trade, and settle specials, all guided by a data-informed, scientifically-backed approach.

• Oversee market liabilities and manage customer risk profiles across all digital platforms, collaborating closely with analytics teams.

• Partner with analytics teams to explore market trends, gaining insights that aid in predicting customer betting behaviors and enhancing GGR and NGR.

• Collaborate with executive leadership and other teams on promotions, product roadmaps, and strategies for tier-1 events.

• Promote ongoing performance enhancements and product quality, depth, and coverage.

• Lead the sports product strategy and roadmap development.

• Compile and disseminate reports to keep stakeholders updated on business performance and upcoming activities.

• Explore and suggest methods for improved efficiency and implement innovative ideas.

• Maintain a strong understanding of compliance responsibilities and enforce adherence to them.

• Foster high communication standards and transparency within the team while encouraging collaboration with other Sportsbook teams and external entities.

• Serve as the "encyclopedia" for your sports, possessing in-depth knowledge of the models that drive your sports and their behaviors and impacts.

• Establish trading philosophies and strategies for the team (e.g., aggressive vs. conservative pricing, automation levels) and ensure their effective implementation.

• Hold the team accountable through ongoing performance assessments and regular reporting, including ad hoc deep dives.

• Ensure that the team comprehends, communicates, and executes strategies effectively.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a trading environment is required.

• Live trading experience is highly advantageous.

• Comprehensive sports betting knowledge and a robust interest in betting and odds are essential.

• Data-obsessed, not merely data-driven, with excellent mathematical capabilities.

• Flexibility is essential as working hours will be dictated by business requirements, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
