Senior Manager, Sportsbook Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete trading strategy, margin objectives, and commercial KPIs for the assigned sports or teams.

• Ensure that all markets are established with appropriate market limits and are thoroughly reviewed as seasons change. Make certain that desired tournaments are included and offers are regularly assessed and updated.

• Envision, design, implement, publish, trade, and settle specials, all following a data-driven and scientifically-supported approach.

• Monitor market liabilities and manage customer risk profiles across all digital platforms, collaborating closely with analytics teams.

• Partner with analytics teams to explore market trends, gaining insights that aid in predicting customer betting behaviors while enhancing GGR and NGR.

• Work alongside executive leadership and other teams on promotions, product roadmaps, and strategies for tier-1 events.

• Foster ongoing performance enhancements and ensure product quality, depth, and coverage.

• Lead the development of the sports product strategy and roadmap.

• Compile and distribute reports to keep stakeholders informed about business performance and upcoming activities.

• Investigate and suggest methods for increased efficiency and the implementation of innovative ideas.

• Bring and uphold a strong understanding of compliance responsibilities.

• Promote a high level of communication and transparency within the team while encouraging collaboration with other Sportsbook teams and external partners.

• Serve as the go-to expert for your sports, possessing extensive knowledge of the models influencing your sports and their behavior/impact.

• Establish trading philosophies and strategies for the team (e.g., aggressive versus conservative pricing, levels of automation) and ensure their effective execution.

• Hold the team accountable through continuous performance assessments, routine reporting, and in-depth analysis as needed.

• Ensure that team strategies are well understood, communicated, and executed.

• Perform other duties as required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• At least 5 years of proven experience in a trading environment is required.

• Live trading experience is highly advantageous.

• Comprehensive knowledge of sports betting and a strong interest in betting and odds are essential.

• Data-driven mindset with a passion for data; excellent mathematical ability is necessary.

• Flexibility is crucial, as working hours will be determined by business requirements. Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

• Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure.

• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and make swift decisions.

• Exceptional time management skills are a must.
