Senior Manager, Sportsbook Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete trading strategy, margin objectives, and commercial KPIs for the designated sports/team.

• Ensure that all markets are established with appropriate limits and are reviewed as seasons change. Confirm that the desired tournaments are included and offers are regularly assessed and updated.

• Envision, develop, set up, publish, trade, and settle specials – all while adhering to a data-driven and scientifically grounded approach.

• Oversee market liabilities and manage customer risk profiles across all digital platforms, closely collaborating with analytics teams.

• Partner with analytics teams to analyze market trends in order to gain insights that aid in forecasting customer betting behaviors, enhancing GGR and NGR.

• Work alongside executive leadership and other teams on promotions, product roadmaps, and strategies for tier-1 events.

• Propel ongoing performance enhancements and elevate product quality, depth, and coverage.

• Spearhead the strategy and roadmap for the sports product.

• Compile and disseminate reports to keep stakeholders informed about business performance and upcoming initiatives.

• Explore and suggest methods for increased efficiency and implement innovative ideas.

• Demonstrate and enforce a robust understanding of compliance responsibilities.

• Foster a high level of communication and transparency within the team while promoting collaboration with both internal Sportsbook teams and external partners.

• Serve as the go-to expert for your sports, possessing extensive knowledge about the models influencing your sports and their behaviors/impacts.

• Establish trading philosophies and strategies across the team (e.g., aggressive vs conservative pricing, levels of automation) and ensure their effective implementation.

• Hold the team accountable through ongoing performance assessments, regular performance reporting, and ad hoc deep dives.

• Ensure that the team comprehends, communicates, and executes the strategies effectively.

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a trading environment is required.

• Live trading experience is a significant advantage.

• Comprehensive knowledge of sports betting and a strong passion for betting and odds are essential.

• Data-focused mindset with excellent mathematical abilities.

• Flexibility is essential, as working hours will be determined by business demands. Must be available for flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

• Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.

• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and making swift decisions.

• Exceptional time management skills are a must.
