Senior Manager, Specialized Claims

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of adjusters managing the company's most significant and intricate claims.

• Provide daily management of operations to guarantee effective claims handling that aligns with corporate business objectives.

• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate resource requirements and implement ongoing improvement initiatives to boost quality, service, and cost efficiency.

• Monitor team performance through file assessments, data analysis, and customer feedback.

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to professionals within the claims organization.

• Make staffing recommendations, engage in hiring and disciplinary processes, and oversee salary administration linked to performance.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in specialized areas of claims.

• Oversee complex litigation strategies, direct external counsel, and manage expenses related to litigation.

• Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Prepare and present reports on business trends, financial activity, and claim results.

• Communicate critical issues and strategic insights to relevant audiences, adapting communication style to ensure clarity and alignment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred along with relevant claims experience.

• JD or equivalent experience is highly desired.

• Proficient in using claims management systems and data analysis tools for documentation, reporting, and process optimization.

• Skilled in managing litigation with external counsel and executing negotiation strategies for high-stakes claims.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Demonstrated capacity to coach and develop individuals and teams to support long-term career advancement and cultivate a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

• Highly organized with the capability to manage complex projects, workflows, and organizational strategies.

• Ability to make informed decisions in high-impact or uncertain situations while balancing competing demands and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

• Experience in managing significant legal or reputational risks and overseeing strategic decision-making across a business.

• Must hold the appropriate state adjuster license(s) and continuing education credits.
