Senior Manager – SAP Payroll Implementation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Head of the DACH region, which includes Germany, Austria, and Switzerland

• Assist in developing a high-performing team

• Represent the function to senior internal and external stakeholders

• Take ownership of business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI performance

• Promote operational excellence and ongoing process improvements

• Maintain alignment with sales for effective capacity planning

• Lead initiatives, transformation programs, and manage change

• Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-impact decisions

• Capable of acting as a Payroll lead/support the team by collaborating with clients to gather all payroll requirements and guiding them through workshops, configuration steps, and system setups

• Validate and configure customer payroll solutions and integrations to comply with legal regulations

• Assist and support in data mapping, migration, year-to-date preparation, and accuracy checks

• Manage all phases of system testing (SIT, UAT, parallel runs, etc.) and address system configuration/integration issues in collaboration with local and global teams

• Oversee go-live activities to ensure payroll system readiness

• Monitor project progress, maintain documentation, and collaborate with project managers and teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10+ years of relevant professional experience in management positions

• Strong understanding of local payroll and time regulations in Germany, along with proven expertise in payroll system configuration and integrations

• Hands-on approach with a readiness to explore and implement innovative solutions

• Proficiency in English and German, excellent communication skills, and a client-focused, collaborative attitude

• Previous experience with international payroll projects is advantageous

• Bachelor's degree is required; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred
