This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete quoting and pricing strategy, ensuring it aligns with both divisional and enterprise financial goals.
• Convert company and divisional strategies into actionable pricing frameworks, cost models, and quoting policies.
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, offering insights regarding pricing competitiveness, margin performance, capacity constraints, and avenues for growth.
• Lead the quoting function as a center of excellence by establishing standards, governance, and best practices.
• Propel long-term planning for quoting capabilities, tools, and the organizational structure.
• Build and nurture a high-performing quoting organization through multi-layer leadership, succession planning, and talent optimization.
• Define clear performance expectations linked to business outcomes, accuracy, timeliness, and profitability.
• Enhance leadership capabilities within the team through coaching, mentoring, and tailored development plans.
• Collaborate with HR on workforce planning, hiring strategies, performance management, and corrective actions.
• Cultivate a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Create and oversee pricing strategies that strike a balance between market competitiveness and sustainable margins with cost containment.
• Ensure cost estimation methodologies accurately represent materials, labor, overhead, and operational complexity.
• Track and manage quoting performance against KPIs, including turnaround time, win rate, margin health, and forecast accuracy.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities within the quoting process and implement strategies for mitigation or optimization.
• Maintain robust financial discipline while supporting revenue growth initiatives.
• Oversee daily operations of the quoting function, ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer responsiveness.
• Lead large-scale process improvement initiatives, including system enhancements, automation, and workflow optimization.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and organizational standards across all quoting activities.
• Establish strong communication rhythms across functions to guarantee alignment, issue escalation, and swift decision-making.
• Advocate for change management and adoption of new tools, processes, and organizational initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Procurement to deliver accurate, actionable, and competitive quotes.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex, high-value, or high-risk quotations.
• Foster strong internal and external customer relationships through credibility, transparency, and responsiveness.
• Ensure quoting strategies consider market trends, capacity requirements, and customer expectations.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in quoting, pricing, cost estimation, or related manufacturing functions.
• Proven experience in senior-level people leadership, including the development of managers and future leaders.
• Established ability to lead strategy, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive results through others.
• Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures and pricing dynamics.
• Experience managing complex initiatives in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
