
Senior Manager, Quantum Model Validation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take the lead and play an active role in projects focused on developing models for quantum optical systems and validating them against actual data from quantum computing systems.
• Oversee and expand a team of architects, providing real-time analysis and constructive feedback to engineering teams regarding the behavior of quantum hardware.
• Collaborate closely with teams in photonics, electronics, systems, and architecture to ensure that coherent, data-driven descriptions of system architecture and performance are readily accessible.
• A PhD in a quantum physics discipline is required, with a preference for quantum optics and photonics.
• At least 5 years of pertinent research experience in academia or industry, specifically in quantum computing or quantum information.
• A solid understanding of linear optical quantum computing and its related error models is necessary.
• Experience in conducting or collaborating closely with quantum optics experiments is required.
• Must have the ability to work across various domains and effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary technical teams across different locations and time zones.
• Proficiency in programming with Python and familiarity with collaborative software development tools (e.g., GitHub) is advantageous.
