This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take proactive control of sales margins, product mix, volume retention/growth, product category development, and margin enhancement strategies for the foodservice channel.
• Provide leadership and guidance for designated product segments and formats across various business channels.
• Mentor and develop talent within the reporting structure.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, Finance, and Logistics to develop and execute company initiatives and commercialization activities.
• Optimize margin enhancement through in-depth customer and market analysis.
• Oversee and approve pricing models tailored for the assigned Foodservice Channel.
• Review daily enterprise reports and respond to sales margins that fall short of expectations.
• Assess new-volume impact, ideal production locations, and customer corporate pricing in conjunction with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain.
• Ensure accurate transmission of cost roll changes to customers.
• Formulate, communicate, and implement corrective action plans when margin targets are unmet.
• Actively manage the P&L.
• Create or supervise significant pricing proposals and RFPs.
• Ensure pricing history is documented in record systems such as Forge and Velocity.
• Provide Sales with innovative solutions for selling opportunities that enhance company returns.
• Integrate Annual Budget and Long Range Plan strategies into tactical Product Line Management decisions.
• Set fiscal-year budget objectives and manage accruals, reserves, and contingency plans in collaboration with Finance.
• Ensure the availability of relevant data cubes and reports for proactive Foodservice P&L management.
• Utilize MicroStrategy data and the data warehouse to deliver consistent commercial reporting.
• Connect Product Management and Supply Chain planning within the Foodservice sales planning process.
• Oversee pricing strategies for custom and branded labels, adhering to customer contract parameters.
• Develop strategies for SKU management, product platforms, and inventory management.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Math, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in Foodservice, Food Manufacturing, Revenue Management, Commercial Finance, Pricing, Category Management, Product Line Management, or similar commercial leadership positions.
• At least 3 years of experience in people leadership roles.
• Proven track record of brand management, category, business segment, or commercial P&L ownership, including revenue growth, pricing strategies, margin improvement, forecasting, and profitability management.
• Experience in developing customer pricing strategies, contract pricing, cost recovery initiatives, revenue management programs, and margin enhancement plans.
• Strong knowledge of Foodservice channels, encompassing distributors, operators, brokers, rebates, and customer pricing structures.
• Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Familiarity with VF financial systems, including margins, accruals, costs, and overhead rates.
• Highly analytical skills and the ability to manage large, complex projects.
• Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Legal, Pricing, and Agreement Management.
• Strong financial acumen, covering revenue, gross margin, profitability, accruals, reserves, budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
• Advanced understanding of pricing strategies, revenue management, cost accounting principles, margin optimization, and customer profitability analysis.
• Experience utilizing business analytics and reporting tools effectively.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial drivers impacting Foodservice and Food Manufacturing sectors.
• Ability to translate intricate financial and operational data into actionable business decisions.
• Proven capability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Legal, and Executive Leadership.
