This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Collaborate with process owners across various business domains to evaluate risk, establish controls, and facilitate remediation efforts.
• Oversee and manage the incident management process, leveraging customer feedback and operational assessments as indicators of potential risks.
• Develop and present executive-level risk reports for senior leadership.
• Build and lead a dedicated team.
• Coordinate with Legal, Risk, and Compliance to guarantee that accountability is well-defined and executed.
• A minimum of 5 years in first line operations risk management within a banking or financial services environment.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a customer operations role.
• Over 5 years of experience in a managerial position.
• Proven history of developing first line risk programs from inception, which includes translating risk strategies into actionable plans and gaining support from senior leaders and process owners.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey information credibly at the executive level.
• Willingness and capability to travel approximately 4–6 times a year for concentrated, multi-day team workshops.
