This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Metric & Reporting Standardization: Develop and standardize comprehensive metrics and reporting for the operations organization, with a primary focus on enhancing operational quality.
• Data Trustworthiness & Quality: Take ownership of the trustworthiness and quality of all reporting used by the operations team.
• Automation & New Reporting Structures: Spearhead initiatives to automate manual reporting tasks and create new, efficient reporting frameworks.
• Analytical Value Creation: Lead the team in generating new reports and analyses to pinpoint improvement areas, resolve operational issues, and discover opportunities for value enhancement.
• Data Science Roadmap Management: Oversee your team's roadmap and represent the operations organization in discussions with the data science and data engineering teams.
• Stakeholder Communication: Ensure transparent communication regarding project backlogs, timelines, and deliverables for all data and reporting initiatives.
• AI Future Advocacy: Plan and implement the integration of AI tools into reporting and analysis workflows.
• Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts (starting with two), promoting their growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various teams across the organization to meet operational goals.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Supply Chain Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar field, emphasizing the creation of robust reporting in BI systems.
• Experience leading direct reports is essential.
• Proficient in SQL & DBT with hands-on experience in managing complex data tables and structures; knowledge of Python is advantageous.
• Familiarity with AI, including the creation of tools and utilizing LLM for coding support.
• Demonstrated experience in producing easily understandable reports for stakeholders using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Highly skilled in Excel.
• Relevant industry experience in high-volume logistics, manufacturing, or e-commerce, depending on company size and data complexity.
• Strong Plus: Relevant certifications in data analysis, business intelligence, or data warehousing.
