This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Assist in shaping, developing, and executing the Operational Resilience Framework throughout Mashreq Group.
• Engage with stakeholders across various business units to proactively identify, map, document, and evaluate Critical Business Services.
• Promote collaboration across functions by involving representatives from relevant departments, risk teams, and business units to ensure precise identification and evaluation of critical services.
• Establish impact tolerances and acceptable disruption levels for each Critical Business Service.
• Aid in the development of recovery capabilities and support initiatives focused on enhancing resilience across critical business services.
• Perform regular reviews of Business Impact Analyses and Threat Assessments, identifying internal and external risks, their likelihood, and potential consequences.
• Assist business units throughout the Group in formulating, maintaining, and exercising their Business Continuity Plans.
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on all matters pertaining to Operational Resilience and crisis management.
• Coordinate and effectively engage with stakeholders across the Group, including Technology, Third-Party Management, Security, and other relevant business units.
• Direct and manage crisis management responses during incidents, ensuring effective communication and coordination among stakeholders across the group.
• Design, facilitate, and implement crisis management simulation exercises for business units and the Crisis Management Team.
• Stay adaptable and support any additional resilience-related tasks necessary to address emerging challenges.
• At least 10 years of experience in the financial sector, with a minimum of 8 years in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, or Operational Resilience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local and international regulations, including NCEMA, UAE Central Bank Operational Resilience Regulations, ISO 22361:2022, ISO 22301:2019, Basel Principles for Operational Resilience, FCA/PRA regulations, and DORA.
• A professional certification from the Business Continuity Institute (e.g., CBCI) or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) is mandatory.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to distill complex concepts into clear, concise, and actionable information.
• A collaborative team player with strong initiative and the ability to work efficiently across cross-functional teams.
• Proficient stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
• A strong passion for Operational Resilience, dedicated to safeguarding our customers, business operations, and enhancing enterprise-wide resilience.
• A risk-oriented mindset, able to proactively identify, comprehend, discuss, and act on current and emerging risks.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
