Consultant, Climate Risk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with colleagues and the Ramboll Management Consulting team to deliver client projects.

• Perform research, conduct client interviews, and analyze data to identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption, GHG emissions, and resource utilization throughout the value chain.

• Create financial analyses that evaluate sustainability-related business opportunities, including circular economy models and transitions to renewable energy.

• Prepare client-facing presentations that convey project progress, updates, analytical findings, and recommendations.

• Assist in project proposals by conducting client and peer research, gathering qualifications, compiling team resumes, and suggesting methodologies.

• Engage directly with clients to enhance environmental impact and cultivate sustainability knowledge and consulting capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, economics, environmental studies, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in consulting, project/program management, finance/economics, and/or sustainability; entry-level candidates may be considered based on internship or relevant experience.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• Sponsorship is not available.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency in quantitative analysis, including risk forecasting, financial modeling, and handling complex data sets.

• Strong skills in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and multitasking.

• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• High proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Experience with AI-based tools is preferred.
