Senior Manager – New Product Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete new product development (NPD) process from initial concept through design, validation, understanding customer regulatory approval requirements, and product launch.

• Create and manage cohesive program plans, timelines, budgets, and resource distributions.

• Foster accountability among cross-functional teams to achieve essential milestones and deliverables.

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate program risks; proactively raise issues to senior leadership.

• Collaborate closely with R&D, Marketing, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to guarantee alignment and execution.

• Facilitate core team meetings and governance forums; ensure effective decision-making and communication.

• Oversee the design transfer to manufacturing and assist in scale-up activities.

• Ensure compliance with design control requirements, such as FDA and ISO standards (e.g., design inputs/outputs, verification, validation).

• Spearhead New Product Introduction (NPI) and commercialization readiness initiatives.

• Align launch schedules with commercial strategy and market demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).

• At least 8 years of experience in product development within the medical devices or regulated industries.

• Over 5 years of program/project management experience leading intricate, cross-functional initiatives.

• Demonstrated success in product launches.

• Extensive knowledge of medical device development processes, including design controls and regulatory pathways.

• Strong leadership and influencing abilities within a matrix organization.

• Outstanding project management skills (planning, risk management, budgeting).

• Excellent communication skills and executive presence.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification.

• Familiarity with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and global regulatory standards.

• Experience with Agile or hybrid product development methodologies.

• Demonstrates urgency and accountability in execution.

• Balances strategic insight with operational excellence.

• Cultivates strong partnerships and aligns varied stakeholders.

• Proactively identifies risks and navigates complexities effectively.
