Senior Manager, Network and Infrastructure Reliability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead the Network & Infrastructure team, ensuring excellence in operations.

• Stabilize everyday processes and evaluate the current talent within the team.

• Drive modernization initiatives and automate network functions.

• Act as a player-coach for the engineering team, providing mentorship and establishing operational standards.

• Present team skills assessments and tactical execution strategies for transitioning to infrastructure/network-as-code.

• Guarantee successful onboarding of key engineering hires, while facilitating cross-training opportunities for existing team members.

• Supervise early achievements in modernization within production, ensuring equitable workload distribution among the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in network/infrastructure engineering, including at least 3 years in direct management of engineering teams within mission-critical, multi-DC production settings.

• Extensive technical expertise in modern data center networking, covering OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN, Cisco Nexus, and NX-OS.

• Experience overseeing infrastructure in a hybrid cloud setup, with a keen focus on supporting GCP workloads.

• Demonstrated success in guiding teams to develop and implement network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing tools like Ansible, Terraform, Python, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Practical experience in modernizing legacy systems by introducing configuration management, drift detection, and policy-based operations where they were previously lacking.

• Solid understanding of network and infrastructure observability through tools such as ThousandEyes, Grafana, Loki, NetFlow, and Netscout to achieve a comprehensive view of system health.

• Experience in supporting the foundational infrastructure needs for Kubernetes, AI, and GPU workloads.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
