
Senior Manager, Medical Affairs Training – Medical Information

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Cultivate and sustain a comprehensive understanding of Travere’s therapeutic domains, marketed offerings, and pipeline developments.
• Assist or lead in the creation, execution, and ongoing enhancement of onboarding curricula for Medical Affairs and Field Medical.
• Conduct assessments to identify educational needs, knowledge gaps, competencies, and skill shortages within Medical Affairs functions.
• Design and implement training programs focused on scientific knowledge, product information, disease states, compliance, and professional skills for Medical Affairs staff.
• Collaborate with Therapeutic Area Leads, Medical Directors, and Field Medical leadership to ensure training strategies are aligned with organizational objectives and business requirements.
• Create and conduct instructor-led training sessions, workshops, virtual learning opportunities, e-learning modules, simulations, and other creative educational solutions.
• Develop, enhance, and revise certification programs and competency evaluations to guarantee the preparedness and continuous growth of Medical Affairs personnel.
• Assist in the organization and execution of Medical Affairs meetings, training workshops, and scientific education events.
• Establish metrics for training effectiveness, analyze results, and implement initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Maintain and enhance learning management systems (LMS) and training resource libraries.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that training materials comply with medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.
• Identify and incorporate new learning technologies, adult learning strategies, and digital/AI training solutions.
• Formulate key performance indicators and communicate the impact and value of learning programs to leadership.
• Select, manage, and supervise external training vendors and educational partners.
• Provide scientific and technical assistance for approved and investigational products within the Travere portfolio.
• Oversee the creation, review, upkeep, and lifecycle management of standard response documents, FAQs, and other Medical Information resources.
• Collaborate with Medical Information colleagues to ensure timely, accurate, balanced, and compliant responses to unsolicited inquiries.
• Analyze Medical Information metrics, inquiry patterns, and data deficiencies to pinpoint opportunities for improved training, content development, and process enhancements.
• Partner with Medical Affairs, MSLs, Market Access, and Commercial teams to facilitate launch preparedness and ongoing product support.
• Assist in managing Medical Information systems, content management platforms, and digital communication channels.
• Contribute to the development of innovative strategies for disseminating scientific information and engaging customers (AI/web-based initiatives).
• A Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field is required.
• An advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, PA, NP, RN, or equivalent) is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry within Medical Affairs is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in Medical Affairs training, field medical training, learning and development, or Medical Information is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison, Medical Information professional, Medical Director, or in a similar Medical Affairs role is preferred.
• Experience in supporting product launches and developing Medical Affairs capabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in nephrology, rare diseases, or specialty therapeutics are preferred.
