This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly evaluations of all non-U.S. indirect tax adjustments, encompassing IOSS and OSS compliance submissions.
• Oversee the monthly assessment of Intrastat filings across relevant EU member states.
• Review and approve proposed monthly indirect tax journal entries and manage the ERP approval process for related postings.
• Analyze month-over-month fluctuations in balance sheets for each indirect tax account, providing a comprehensive, high-level explanation of identified variances.
• Compile monthly indirect tax movement KPI reports for VP review and present them to Finance leaders during the CFO's monthly review meeting.
• Supervise the monthly and quarterly preparation of indirect tax reserves in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Assist with the annual financial statement process, which includes reconciliations, journal entries, and support schedules.
• Manage and facilitate indirect tax audits, notices, IDRs, and controversy matters, including documentation gathering, reconciliations, analysis, coordinating responses, and maintaining audit trackers.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping for indirect tax filings, notices, and audit documentation.
• Track changes in indirect tax legislation pertinent to StockX, research their implications, and assist in implementing necessary adjustments.
• Assess the indirect tax implications of new international business initiatives, lead or assist in cross-functional process enhancement implementations with Finance, Legal, Product, and Operations teams, and establish scalable, audit-ready compliance frameworks.
• Support registrations, annual compliance obligations, special projects, and ad hoc requests from business partners and external advisors.
• Mentor, coach, and develop tax professionals at all levels by providing consistent feedback, supporting career advancement, building succession plans, and promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Over 10 years of experience in international indirect tax, including VAT/GST/JCT compliance and advisory across multiple jurisdictions.
• In-depth knowledge of EU VAT, covering IOSS, OSS, Intrastat, and fiscal representation frameworks.
• Experience in tax account reconciliations, workpapers, and providing month-end or quarter-end close support.
• Proven capability to articulate complex indirect tax concepts into clear, actionable guidance for cross-functional business partners and senior leadership.
• Experience managing various compliance workstreams concurrently in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Strong analytical, research, communication, and project management abilities.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Sheets, and Databricks or similar platforms.
• Industry experience in e-commerce, marketplace platforms, or digital goods.
• Experience in preparing supporting workpapers, maintaining tax records, and coordinating compliance activities with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to research indirect tax issues and apply findings effectively to business operations and compliance requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience handling large data sets and transaction-level information in Excel.
